What are your favourite ways to spice up your bag?

It's all about the BAGS! Some people have a slight obsession with shoes, well, I must admit that I'm a sucker for all kinds of bags. Anything from a tiny clutch to a big shopping tote, I love it! Forget the statement necklaces, this Spring it will be all about statement bags! Wear them with a simple black or white outfit to really make them stand out. Instead of bying a graphic bag, you can also pimp up your bag yourself by adding some cool accesories to your bag. Think leather stickers, scarves, pins, a keychain, ... just a little extra to glam it up.

Don't you just love discovering new beauty stuff? I sure do! Take a look at the top 5 make-up bits on my beauty wishlist! 1. EOS Lipbalms EOS Lipbalm - €4,99 These lipbalms are very popular. They look so cute and funky. EOS Lipbalms are available in many different colours/flavours. I've heard they apply very easily and that they are amazing at moisturising your lips without feeling sticky. I think you can only find them in your local Urban Outfitters, here in Belgium. 2. Maybelline The Eraser Eye Concealer Maybelline Instant Anti-Age 'The Eraser Eye' - €10,99 I've read a million blogposts (exaggerator over here!) about this concealer that this one beats all the other concealers out there! That's quite a statement. Essie Button, one of my favourite UK bloggers said: "besides the really cool sponge applicator, the formula is incredible. Somehow it’s pigmented enough to cover any dark circles, but the formula isn’t heavy and doesn’t crease like some under eye concealers do. I love it!". This makes me really want to try it out, but I can't seem to find it here in Belgium... 3. Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette 2 - €50 Out of all the Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palettes I like the second one most. The colours look amazing and are very pigmented and creamy. You can find matte but also shimmery shades in there and you get a variety of pretty neutral colours that would suit almost any occasion. What's not to love? 4. Nars Highlighting Blush in Albatross Nars Highlighting Blush in Albatross - €28 Nars is, as we all know, a rather expensive brand. But their products are just so pretty. This is a very light, pearly, shimmering blush perfect to apply in summer, to highlight your cheeckbones and browbones. Ah, I can already see it! Too bad it's so expensive though. Haha! 5. Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Pencil Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Pencil Colour Chameleon in Golden Quartz - €26 Last but not least: these Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow pencils! Charlotte Tilbury cosmetics are very luxurious; the packaging only of some of her make-up would make me want to buy it. These pencils are very creamy and super easy to apply and blend with other eyeshadows. They're a bit waxy to help them stick around for quite some time which is of course very handy. The pigmentation is rather light but you can really build up the colour. I would love to try them out one day!
So this was my top 5 on my beauty wishlist. What's on yours? X Pauline Sneakers are totally hot right now. The Stan Smith collection from Adidas is very much on my wishlist at this very moment. They're available in white with pops of colour like green, red, blue, gold, black, etc. but you can also customise them yourself for €115 on the website: here. I think I'm going to save up for the green ones on the picture above, they just look so much fun! You can style them up with a maxi dress or skirt or you can style them down with ankle grazers and a sweatshirt and even with denim shorts in summer they would look gorgeous. Here are some outfit ideas: source: www.clochet.com Stan Smiths by Adidas: €89,95 (here) If you have small feet like me (35-36) you could shop them in the kids section - same shoe, different price... let me tell you! What are your thoughts on this trend? Are they on your wislist too, or are you lucky enough to already have these gems in your shoecloset?
X Pauline I'm not so much of a tattoo person but I do quite like earrings and piercings in the ear. I have had my ears pierced when I was 16 and I have a second earring on the right ear since last year. I've been seeing a lot of girls with helix and auricle piercings which I really like and now am considering. But I still don't think I can handle the 'piercing the cartilage' part just yet! Here are some of the images that make me want to take the step and extend my earparty. What do you think about ear piercings? Do you have some or isn't it your cup of tea?
I would love to hear your stories! X Pauline Hi guys! I'm sorry I've been MIA for the last two weeks, I've been a really busy bee. But today I finally managed to sit down with a cup of tea and write about one of my biggest passions: books. As you can tell by the fact that I'm studying applied linguistics I love reading and writing. There are so many books that I want to read so I thought why not make a list so that at the end of the year I can make a blog post telling you which books I've read and see if I can recommend them to you guys so you can check them out too, if you'd like to. First of all let's talk about the Divergent series! I love the story. It kind of reminds me of The Hunger Games but it's still quite different. I already read Divergent and Insurgent (movie coming out soon, yay) and I can't wait to get my hands on Allegiant and dulge in.
Then we have The Book Thief. I saw the movie last year and really liked it. A book about books? Hell yeah! Everybody seems to love Not That Kind Of Girl and I want to see for myself what this hype is about. The resume says it's about "the experiences that are part of making one's way in the world: falling in love, feeling alone, being ten pounds overweight despite eating only healthy food, having to prove yourself in a room full of men twice your age, finding true love, and most of all, having the guts to believe that your story is one that deserves to be told". I think every girl can relate to this, right? Next is To All The Boys I've Loved Before. A lot of us, girls, have written/write secret letters to the person we crush on telling them how we feel but never really give it to them. Well, what if all the crushes you wrote a letter to found out how you felt/feel about them... all at once?! If I Stay is kind of a sad book so I've heard. I enjoy a little dramatic, sad and romantic story from time to time so I hope to give this one a read as soon as possible before watching the movie. And then last but certainly not least, the book I'm currently reading: The Fault In Our Stars. I refused to watch the movie before reading the book so that's what I'm doing right now and I'm very much enjoying it. What books are on your wishlist? X Pauline |
