This is going to be my first food blogpost. Woohoo!
My sister and I love anything that has to do with tasty food and today we were just really in our healthy zone and thought why not try out some homemade granolabars? These are awesome for breakfast or just as a healthy snack. So we looked up some recipes online, but in the end we just made our own little creation... and it turned out to be soooo good. They taste heavenly and they contain ingredients that are really good for your body but you usually wouldn't eat them on a day-to-day basis.
Ingredients:
- 150 gr of oats
- 50 gr of mixed seeds (chiaseeds, sunflowerseeds, pumpkinseeds, sesame seeds, ...)
- 25 gr of plain flour
- 100 gr of butter
- 100 gr of honey
- 75 gr of soft brown sugar
- raisins and/or dried pieces of apple
First of all pre-heat the oven on 160°C and prepare a baking tray with some baking sheet.
Take a little pan and let the butter, the honey and the soft brown sugar melt on low heat. Then mix all the dry ingredients - th e oats, the s eeds and the plain flour - in a large bowl. After everything in the little pan is well melted add it into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix everything together. You will notice that it has become a very sticky mixture.
Transfer the mixture into the baking tray and press it down. Now place it into the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes. After that you just have to let it cool down in the fridge for a day.
We divided it into 12 pieces. Each piece weighs about 42 grams and contains 188cal. Yes, we really did the math! ;-)
It looks as though someone already took a bite in these bars but trust me, these are just the ones from the corner on the baking tray. :-)
Are you going to give these a try?
